Jane has been the Poetry Editor of the \u003ci\u003eSchuylkill Valley Journal\u003c\/i\u003e since 2021.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"\u003eJane had a long career as a counselor in many mental health settings, with most years consulting to a variety of k-12 schools. She also spent nearly two decades as an advocate for the educational rights of students experiencing homelessness. She was awarded a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching but was unable to fulfill the honor due to a health emergency. When not writing or gardening, she is an American traditional rug hooker.
